Greece - Athens 8July

Arrived in Athens 1800 hrs & met the Swans at our hotel, Athenian Callirhoe where Michael & I stayed 1 night & they had 2.
We found a sports bar that televised the Men's final of Wimbledon. Wow what a great last game. The crowd were rooting for Murray. Had a great night & meal together at the roof top bar of the hotel overlooking the Parthenon.
A good hike in the morning to the Acropolis & Parthenon. Amazing to see, such a great age & more spread out than expected.
Michael & I were very keen to see the New Acropolis museum but unfortunately it was closed on our only day in Athens! (Monday). Kelly you told me it was a must but have to rely on Marg & Swany's experiences.
The following day we joined our cruise. What luxury! Met up with Coral & Neil Williams who are on back to back cruises! We are about to have an amazing time.

Murray beat Djokovic in straight sets.

We could see the Acropolis but this didn't work out for you all to see.

Thought this pink chandelier would be good for Marg?!

The start of our walk to the Acropolis.

Well worn marble steps.

Musicians along the olive groved promenade.

The New Acropolis Museum disappointing from the outside but apparently mind blowing inside.

A quick introduction to the Athenian language & translation.

Farewell Athens. Won't be rushing back. All aboard our cruise on Regent Mariner, very excited.

10 day cruise from 8-18 July.

Our cabin, very comfortable with a sitting area, balcony & walk in robe!

Met up with Coral & Neil Williams. They were already on ship having done the 10 day cruise preceding ours - same ship, same room & now joining the Swans & us. Lots of laughs to be had together. Our 1st drink in the Observation lounge.

Cheers at dinner in the  ... Rose restaurant.

Our 1st night on our cruise.
Internet difficult so will update the rest later. On our way to Nafplion.
